Ruaha National Park is the largest National Park in Tanzania, covers an area of about 22,000 km². It is one of the few of Tanzania’s famous wilderness areas, whereby the experience of game viewing spiced up by the exciting landscape and it’s Great Ruaha River.
The park has a high concentration of elephants, and magnificent mammals like greater and lesser kudus, sable and roan antelopes can easily be spotted in miombo woodland. The park is also a habitat for endangered wild dogs, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, elands, impalas, bat-eared foxes and jackals.

Detailed Itinerary

Day : 1 : Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park
Early morning pick-up from your chosen location, hotel or accommodation in Dar es Salaam, and drive to Mikumi National
Park, which is approximately 5 to 6 hours from Dar es Salaam. You will arrive in time for hot lunch, then after lunch,
you will proceed with the game drive until evening.

Day : 2 Mikumi National Park
Full day game drives around Mikumi National Park with picnic lunch. Later on, in the evening, go back to the camp or lodge
in Mikumi for dinner and overnight.

Day : 3 Mikumi National Park to Ruaha National Park
Morning breakfast then departs to Ruaha National Park from Mikumi, the road ascent along the Great Ruaha River up on the high plateau where Iringa is situated.
Stop in Iringa for lunch, then proceed to Ruaha arrives late afternoon.

Day : 4 & 5 Ruaha National Park
After morning breakfast, game driving, and picnic lunch, Ruaha is the largest park and the second-largest elephant sanctuary in Tanzania. The great Ruaha River
that flows along its entire eastern border creates spectacular gorges and scenery and features many hippos and crocodiles.

Day : 6 Ruaha National Park to Udzungwa National Park
After breakfast, depart to Udzungwa National park via Iringa town, where you
will stop for lunch before proceeding to Udzungwa National Park.

Day : 7 Udzungwa National Park to Dar es Salaam
After morning breakfast, you will hike the Udzungwa Mountains seeing species endemic to Udzungwa, waterfalls and swim in the fresh water hole at the base of the falls.
Later in the afternoon, you will walk back to the camp or lodge for lunch, followed by a drive to Dar es Salaam
